Coffee Pot Blvd Residence

The Coffee Pot Bayou area in St. Petersburg has long been regarded as one of the city’s more distinctive neighborhoods—nestled between downtown, the Historic Old Northeast, and Snell Isle. Its name comes from the nearby Coffee Pot Bayou, which has been a fixture of local life for generations, lined by mangroves, walking paths, waterfront homes, and a sense of quiet enclave amidst urban growth. Over the decades, the area evolved from marshy edges into one of St. Pete’s more desirable residential districts, prized for views, proximity to the water, and access to downtown amenities.

In 2024, the region felt the impact of a brutal hurricane season. When Hurricane Milton made landfall in October, parts of St. Petersburg were battered by over 100 mph wind gusts and heavy rainfall, exposing vulnerabilities in older structures. In this neighborhood, some homes sustained roof damage, broken windows, and wind-driven water intrusion, especially in elevated or exposed areas. All Trades Historical Restoration was tasked at helping this particular historic house after the brutal hurricane season. With much of the lower level seeing significant water damage, we moved forward to save the historic wooden flooring. This house features dozens of historic metal windows that were in dire need of being reglazed. Additionally, we upgraded many of the house’s features that would assist it with future storms such as roof repairs, drainage upgrades, and new gutter systems.
